My goal for this website is to spread my love for writing and poetry and to motivate others to do the same. Poetry is a great way to express your feelings and voice your opinions. It improves your language skills, sparks creative thinking, and improves your cognitive function. Another goal of mine with this website is to promote reading, especially poetry books which inspired me to write and create my own poems. This connects to FDR’s core values “Each person has the potential to contribute.” and “Experience is the most profound source of learning”. Because I am contributing my poems, and people I am close to are also contributing their poems to help promote writing to others in the FDR community and help show examples of different experiences we have gone through as students in the FDR community.
